The next generation of Kombi engines now feature the updated 4-MIX engine. Simple to use, the KM 131 offers maximum versatility, powering several ground based attachments for property and garden maintenance.

- The manual fuel pump reduces the number of strokes required to start the tool, making the start-up process quicker and easier This is particularly helpful after longer breaks in operation. To use it, actuate the pump several times before starting. This will ensure that there is enough petrol in the carburettor when starting.
- Thanks to the single-handed multi-function handle, you can control your tool easily and reliably with one hand. Because all relevant control elements are integrated in the handle, it can be operated by both right-handed and left-handed users.
- The STIHL 4-MIX engine is a four-stroke engine that does not require any oil circuit components, thanks to refuelling with an oil and gasoline mix. That’s why it’s more compact, more lightweight, and requires less maintenance than conventional four-stroke engines, while at the same time being powerful and offering a comfortable sound pattern. STIHL 4-MIX® engines comply with the European Stage V emissions directive.
- Thanks to its long service life, you rarely need to change the easily accessible filter. This saves resources and reduces maintenance effort.
- With the stop button, you can switch off your tool quickly and easily for a short break, for example. As the button springs back to its original position after actuation, the engine is immediately ready to start again. This provides more comfort after breaks and increases your work efficiency.
- Automatic decompression makes it easier to start the engine. This is because the system automatically opens the intake valve when the engine is started; the opening time of the valve is extended, and as a result the compression pressure is reduced. This significantly reduces the force required on the starter cord.
- Thanks to the quick-release coupling, the various KombiTools for your tool can be connected and disconnected quickly and without tools.
- Vibrations can occur when you put your tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.
