Barrettine’s Woodworm Killer (microemulsion ready-for-use) is for the preventative treatment against wood boring beetles and termites. Also for curative treatment against wood boring beetles. Authorisation is granted for Use class 1 in which the wood-based product is under cover and not exposed to weather and wetting.
Effective against a wide range of wood boring insects including all life stages of wood boring insects (i.e woodworm). It has virtually no odour and can be applied either by brush or low pressure spray to provide lasting protection. The formulation is a water-based microemulsion producing a non-flammable, quick drying product containing no volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) and is ready to apply direct from the container.

- Ensure wood to be treated is dry, free from dirt and repellent coatings such as paint or varnish (remove and sand down as required).
- Avoid contact with plastics, bitumen roofing felts and similar materials.
- Floor coverings: treated floors must be allowed to dry and ventilate for up to 3 weeks before relaying foam backed carpets or underlay.
- Remove absorbent materials and insulation from roof areas etc before application.
- Ensure all electrical wiring etc are in sound condition before treatment. Isolate the area of treatment from electrical supply by removing fuses before application.
- Brush, spray or apply directly into tight holes where possible.
- Coverage: Prevention: 200ml per sq metre or 1 litre to 5 sq metres. Eradication: 300ml per sq metre or 1 litre to 3.3 sq metres.
- Drying times normally 48-72 hours.
- The recommendations 2 coats are applied for best results.
