The HSA 140 T battery-powered hedge trimmer is an extremely powerful and robust professional hedge trimmer that has been designed to take on the toughest, most demanding work a professional working in landscaping and garden maintenance may face. Comparable in performance to the petrol-powered HS 82 hedge trimmer counterpart, this tool is part of the AP System of battery tools and is powered by a 36 V lithium-ion AP battery, which offers long-working times, constant power, low vibrations and is extremely quiet to use too!

The HSA 140 T is designed for cutting ornamental or fine leaf hedges such as taxus, Buxus or privet, and features a high blade speed and a double-sided cutting blade with 30 mm wide tooth spacing for where a particularly neat, accurate and sharp finish is needed. The high speed of the hedge trimmer doesn’t allow too much material to drop into the cutters and can be adjusted between 3,900, 4,500 or 5,000 rpm to best suit the topiary you are working on.

    • The T variations of Stihl hedge trimmers provide the perfect trimming and shaping of hedges and shrubs. Thanks to the blade shape with smaller tooth spacing and lower tooth height in conjunction with the gearing for a high stroke rate, more specific shapes can also be achieved.
    • The rotatable multi-function handle enables precise and comfortable cutting with your hedge trimmer, when working sideways and at head height. It can be rotated 90° to the left and right, and so is also suitable for left-handed and right-handed users. This means the tool is always in the most ergonomically effective position in your hand.
    • The double-sided cutting blade facilitates optimum hedge cutting: vertically, horizontally and in corners. Thanks to the double-sided cutting blades, you can effectively trim or prune your hedge, as well as thicker branches.
    • With the 3-level adjustable blade stroke rate, you can select the right blade speed for every task. You can easily adjust the hedge trimmer using the control cockpit on the rotatable multi-function handle. As the control cockpit rotates with the handle, the switch is always within easy reach, regardless of the handle position.
    • Transport and store your hedge trimmer and shrub shears safely and securely with the tailor-made blade scabbard.
    • The tip protector prevents damage to the blades. The tip protector also makes it easier to cut close to the ground or along walls.
    • Screw-on cut protection increases your safety, for example when trimming hedges. If the cut protection tip wears out, you can easily replace it. The tool has an eyelet  allowing you to store your tool safely and compactly.
    • Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC motor enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.
    • The tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the Stihl connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the Stihl connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your tool is always in a ready-to-use condition.
    • Vibrations can occur when you put your tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the Stihl anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.
    • When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn't the case with Stihl battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.
    • The AP 200 S is IPX4 certified thanks to the encapsulated electronics and sealing of each individual cell. It means that the battery is protected against splashwater from all sides and can be used in rainy conditions.
    • When the throttle is released, energy is recovered and fed back into the battery which extends the battery life during use.
