Visited HIS in Inverness for the first time today and look forward to going again - absolutely brilliant place. The staff are so happy, friendly and helpful, the prices are very competetive and they stock almost everything! Excellent.

Great service received in the welding depot today. I got an absolute bargain. I work for a local hardware store and I prefer H.I.S to the store that I work. It has a more family feel and all the staff great. Its not all about pinching pennies. Wish I worked in a place like this. I often send customers your way as your product selection is great.

Great shop, fantastic stock and staff always helpful and cheerful - a pleasure to visit.

Last week I NEEDED TO GET FISHING GEAR really quickly did not know you sold it went upstairs to find a bunch of fishing gear and a really thin guy and a pretty blonde girl gave me everything i needed you saved my day arrived with all the fishing kit that was needed and nobody realised i only bought it that morning i also got a cup of tea before i left at 8 in the morning.

In store today, Great selection of good quality seed potatoes, onion sets fab too, not squishy and mouldy like you get in some stores! added extra... great staff and a laugh before you leave the store.

Can I just thank your staff for the excellent service received at HIS when myself and another member of staff at Charleston Academy visited recently with two pupils.We met several employees, all of whom went out of their way to give us advice as to what to buy. It is a real pleasure to meet such friendly and knowledgeable assistants, and the quickness of delivery after ordering was also very impressive. Keep up the good work. Dave Kemp

I have been shopping at H.I.S for more than 10 years and now i have started my own business i have now opened an account with you because you have all my needs under one roof.welding and engineering staff are very good at their job and know their products.

I just wanted to say thank you for some excellent service. I was given advice about what fire extinguishers I needed by a very pleasant gentleman, and helped to my car with them which was great as I had my toddler with me and he is a handful! Unfortunately it turned out that I didn't require the items after all and another man kindly put the refund through with no quibbles. Both staff members were friendly, cheerful and polite, and as we left my son was shouting "nice man!" - much, much better service than I would have received at any of the big chains. Thanks again!
